One of my favourite rural roads in our community. Low clouds above the tree line created sporadic snowfall April 15th.

Some things are painfully obvious.

The tree in my back yard

on dark and stormy days

Becomes a life like creature

that peers out all gloomy and grey.

The water drips down

the thick recesses of the bark,

in well sought out paths,

eerily calling forth the beings

from within the tree.

Water, life giving water

falling from the sky

awakens my senses

and opens my eyes

to see.

The living souls all around us

the ones we do not see.

Other dimensions and places in time.

Uniquely linked and networked

in worlds unknown.

What we think we see,

we do not know

and what we think we know,

we do not see,

for blind are we to other lives

seeing not but our own.

Trees are much like human beings and enjoy each other's company. Only a few love to be alone.

Looking for a hug . . . then this is the tree for you! lol

Snails are known for not being fast. So it begs to be asked, "How long did it take to climb this tree?"

Two hardy trees on a hill near the Mikama Bay Lookout on Shikine-jima. This charming, little island is one of the Izu Islands, stretching into the Pacific Ocean south of Tokyo.

The well-known Hallerbos (Belgium). My friend and I climbed on a pile of tree logs to get this angle.

On a clear November day, the morning sun-light poured in to light the Higger Tree, revealing it's fine detail of lichen as it stretched it's arms in the warmth of the sun. The tips of the grasses shone too like a carpet of dancing jewels at the feet of Higger Tor.

Happy Monochrome Bokeh Thursday.

Five bucks says the tree gets knocked over at least once in the next 4 days.

Tree of hope, tree of fears

Tree of smiles, tree of tears

Tree of happiness, all around

Tree of love, as yet unfound

Tree of war, tree of death

Tree of the beauty of a child's first breath

Tree of tenderness, a soft sweet kiss

Tree of the feeling of total bliss

Tree of passion, filling a eye

Tree of peace invading the sky

Tree of success, tree of strife

Tree of dreams....Tree of life!!!

Today's windstorm knocked down this tree just before I was about to join a video meeting.

Beech Trees and a Penned Veteran Oak Tree at the back of Broomfield Hill Car Park

Trees over the horizon to the north of St Giles, Chesterton

These bradford pear trees were planted over 50 years ago in a beautification project. Many of them have sadly been cut down or felled by storms but we still have enough to make springtime even prettier.

I like the way German forests are never completely bereft of colour in the winter - there's always a bit of red from the beech leaves. Of course, in infrared the colour is even more pronounced, and the tree trunks look almost like charcoal drawings.
